Are you doing things for the first time or rekindling old loves?

How are you this sunny Monday?
We are now into week eight of lockdown and I’ve been reflecting with the kids on their time at home. I’m grateful they had a long list of things they are enjoying and a very small list of what they aren’t enjoying (which mostly involved school and chores) lol. Us girlies have started some firsts together, the main one being couch to 5k (we are on week 4 now), learning to indo board (going very slowly) and we also have a few sewing packs waiting to open once the rain arrives. Have you been doing any firsts? And if so, are you enjoying them?
Not only am I doing firsts, I’m also rekindling old loves like my sawing. A good example of this is my mermaid necklace which I finished and listed last week (checkout my sea life collection). I’ve also got a seahorse on the go and I’ve got Mollie out trying a bit of sawing too…..she is pretty handy with a jewellers saw so watch this space for her creations. The first piece I ever made in my silversmithing journey was a butterfly hair slide, this involved a lot of sawing, filing, polishing, along with shaping the butterfly to the hair slide and soldering. A lot of work and patience was needed. I posted a photo of it recently on IG and got a lot of feedback, with people asking if I could potentially make some more…have a look at the photo above and let me know what your thoughts are and if you would like to see more of these in my collections?
As always if you would like to be the first to see and hear all about my news plus discounts then please sign up to my newsletter (you can unsubscribe at any time if it’s not for you).
Well that is all for this week, until next week stay safe and I’m sending loads of love your way.
